Travelling late in the season, with minimal traffic as a result, this video gives you a step by step guide to all the famous creek crossings all the way to the tip of the Australian Mainland. The iconic duo of The Black Knight and The Taupedo provide some great insights into the respective abilities between the short wheel base, coiled 76 Series, and the long wheel base, leaf sprung 78 Series. We also road test the all new ECDS electric shock dampening system by @superiorengineering and of course we cool down and wash the dust off our nether regions at the famous Eliot Falls! So sit back, crack open a beer and be taken on a voyage through the stunning OTT!

Triumphs and tragedies in building a nation. The story of the struggle to cross a vast continent and build the telegraph line that would bring Australia to the world and the world to Australia.
Australia in the mid 1800s was a land isolated by distance and divided between two very different cultures. John McDouall Stuart, a migrant from Scotland, was determined to cross the centre of Australia and reach the north coast. His success would pave the way for a communications revolution.
Charles Todd had dreamed of constructing a telegraph line through the heart of the continent and in Stuart he found the man who could prove the inhospitable centre could be crossed. Australia's undersea telegraph cables listed under the NT Heritage Act, 150 years on | ABC News
One of the nation's most significant engineering feats has been celebrated this week with the heritage listing of undersea telegraph cables in the Northern Territory.
Historians describe it as 'the internet of the 1870's' - providing the first connection between Australia and the rest of the world.

2022 marks 150 years since the joining of the telegraph line from Darwin to Java and the world.
